Roles and Responsibilities

Apply link start date is – 23/04/24 , Naval Dockyard, Mumbai invites online applications on https://reqistration.ind.in/ from lTl qualified/ fresher candidates (Male / Female) .

Apprenticeship training at Dockyard Apprentice School under the Apprentices Act-1961 read in conjunction with Apprenticeship Rules 1992. A total of 301 vacancies .

ELECTRICIAN vacancy post are 40 . For SC candidate 4 post , For ST candidate 4 post , For OBC candidate 8 post , For Genral candidate 24

ELECTROPLATER vacancy post are 01 For UR candidate .

FITTER vacancy post are 50 . For SC candidate 5 post , For ST candidate 5 post , For OBC candidate 10 post , For Genral candidate 30 .

FOUNDRY MAN vacancy post are 01 For UR candidate .

Who Can Apply

Selection Procedure :-

Shortlisting of candidates for the written examination would be made trade wise as per extant policies, for the number of vacancies indicated at Para 1, and would be based with respect to valid online applications (meeting all criteria as mentioned at Para 3 above)
received as on the closing date of the advertisement. The following process will be followed in respect of selection and corresponding merits for written exam, interview and final call letter:-

(i) candidates with lTl Trades :- For lTl trades provisional merit list will be
prepared on the basis of their aggregate Percentage . marks obtained in lTl in lTl? trades. In case of tiewith sam”e aggregate percentage in lTl, aggregate percentage (%)
in Std. X will be compared. In the case of further tie, the candidates’ date of birth will be
compared, and the elder person will be placed above the otheis. In case of further ties,
(ascending) alphabetical order of the First name followed by the middle name followed
by the surname of the candidates (starting from alphabet ‘A’ to ‘Z’) will be considered
for deciding the order of merit.

(ii) Candidates with Non lTl trades :- For non-lTl trades provisional merit list will
be prepared on the basis of their aggregate percentage (oh) of marks obtained in 8th (for
Rigger trade) and lgtn (for Forger and Heat Treater trade) respectively. In the case of
tie, the candidates’ date of birth will be compared, and the elder person will be placed
above the others. In case of further ties, (ascending) alphabetical order of the First
name followed by the middle name followed by the surname of the candidates (starting
from alphabet’A’ to’Z’) will be considered for deciding the order of merit.

Selection Process

Round 1

In first round there will WRITTEN EXAM where question related to check capabilities of the candidate through variety of questions like

  • Verbal reasoning questions. …
  • Verbal comprehension questions. …
  • English language questions. …
  • Questions testing abstract reasoning.

Round 2

The second round is generally a ORAL TEST  in which all the  related question were asked to candidate according to job role. In this generally the interviewer checks candidate technical ability the depth and breadth of candidaate knowledge .

Round 3

Round 3 is a FINAL MERIT LIST  in some cases  This round is conducted by Human Resource Professional who ensures that you are the right candidate for the role .
