About Company

Serge Kampf established Capgemini in 1967 as a data processing and enterprise management firm. Société pour la Gestion de l’Entreprise et le Traitement de l’Information (Sogeti) was the original name of the company.

Gemini Computer Systems was a New York-based American corporation that Sogeti purchased in 1974. After making two significant purchases of Gemini Computer Systems and CAP (Centre d’Analyse et de Programmation) in 1975, and after resolving a legal issue with CAP UK on the worldwide use of the CAP name, Sogeti changed its name to CAP Gemini Sogeti.

 

After acquiring Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based DASD Corporation, Cap Gemini Sogeti began operations in the US in 1981. The company specializes in data conversion and employs 500 workers across 20 sites in the US.

 Following this acquisition, The U.S. Operation was known as Cap Gemini DASD.

In 1990 Cap Gemini Sogeti acquired the UK company Hoskyns Group, the European leader in IT outsourcing and managed services.

Round 1
